Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Central this evening (October 15) in which a 60-year-old man died.
About 7.15pm today, a private car driven by the 60-year-old man was travelling along westbound Fenwick Pier Street Flyover. When approaching near 18 Harcourt Road, the car reportedly stopped after ramming into the kerb near Hong Kong Police Headquarters.
The driver was later found collapsed and was rushed to Ruttonjee Hospital in unconscious state. He was certified dead at 8.22pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are underway.
