Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in North Point this afternoon (October 12) in which a 63-year-old man died.
About 2.50pm today, a taxi driven by the 63-year-old man was travelling along eastbound Tin Hau Temple Road. When approaching near Pacific Palisades, the taxi reportedly lost control and rammed into a flower bed.
The 63-year-old male driver was later found collapsed and was rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital in unconscious state. He was certified dead at 4.50pm. A 52-year-old female taxi passenger sustained face abrasion and was sent to hospital in conscious state.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are underway.
