Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan in the small hours of today (October 11) in which a 67-year-old man died.
At about 0.10am, a private car driven by a 26-year-old man was traveling along Lai Chi Kok Road towards Sham Shui Po. When passing Fat Tseung Street, it reportedly knocked down the 67-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, he was rushed to Caritas Medical Centre in unconscious state and was certified dead at 1.09am.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
