Police will implement special traffic arrangements on Hong Kong Island to facilitate the holding of two public processions this Sunday (September 27) and next Monday (September 28).
Road closure
------------
The following roads will be intermittently closed from 8.30am on September 27 until the crowd is dispersed:
- Marble Road;
- Shu Kuk Street;
- Tin Chiu Street;
- Kam Hong Street;
- King¡¦s Road;
- Oil Street;
- Electric Road;
- Java Road; and
- Tsat Tsz Mui Road.
In addition, the following roads will be intermittently closed from 3pm on September 28 until the crowd is dispersed:
- Eastbound Queensway;
- Southbound Rodney Street;
- Northbound Justice Drive; and
- If necessary, the fast lane of Garden Road Flyover.
Vehicles may not be permitted to leave car parks along the procession route during the road closure period.
Suspension of parking spaces
----------------------------
The parking metered spaces No. 3040(A), 3040 (B), 3041 (A) and 3041(B) at Marble Road will be suspended from 10pm on September 26 to 12noon on September 27.
Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
