Fatal traffic accident in Tsim Sha Tsui

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tsim Sha Tsui this afternoon (September 22) in which a 55-year-old man died.

     About 5.25pm, a public light bus driven by a 40-year-old man was travelling along westbound Salisbury Road. When turning right into Nathan Road, it reportedly knocked down the 55-year-old man who was crossing the road.

     The man sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state where he was certified dead at 6.14pm.

     The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
