The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting Finance Minister of India, Mr Arun Jaitley, at the Chief Executive's Office this afternoon (September 21) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.
Mr Leung said that Hong Kong, as an international financial and trade centre, is an excellent gateway for Indian enterprises to enter the market in the Mainland of China. He encouraged more Indian enterprises to set up business in Hong Kong to leverage on the city's dual advantages of "one country" and "two systems" and its role as "super-connector" to open up more business opportunities.
Mr Leung also said he hoped that Hong Kong and India could continue to enhance co-operation and exchange in areas such as economics and trade, financial services and culture.
