A spokesperson for the Hospital Authority made the following public appeal today (September 14):
The Hospital Authority (HA) General Enquiry Hotline recently received a number of enquiries from the public on suspicious calls regarding the statistics on organ donation in the HA and the wish of donating organ. The HA appeals to the public, reiterates that the Authority never arranges any phone interviews on organ donation. If any suspicious call is received on the concerned matter, please be wary of phone scams. HA has reported the cases to the Police after receiving the inquiries from the public. The HA will provide assistance to facilitate the Police's investigation.
