The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, will visit Jakarta from September 16 to 18 to attend the promotional activities to be held by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB).
Mr Leung will address the opening ceremony of "In Style¡DHong Kong" organised by the HKTDC in the morning of September 17. In the afternoon, he will officiate at a ceremony to kick off the tourism promotion campaign organised by the HKTB and deliver a speech. In the evening, he will attend and speak at the Gala Dinner of "In Style¡DHong Kong" hosted by the HKTDC.
While in Jakarta, Mr Leung will call on the Secretary-General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, Mr Le Luong Minh, and meet with business leaders in Jakarta and Hong Kong people who work and live there.
The Secretary for Justice, Mr Rimsky Yuen, SC, will join some of the programmes of the Chief Executive's visit in Jakarta. Also joining the visit will be the Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr Edward Yau; the Director of Information Services, Mr Patrick Nip; the Private Secretary to the Chief Executive, Mr Carlson Chan; and the Assistant Director (Media), Mr Anson Lai.
The Chief Executive will depart for Jakarta in the morning of September 16 and return to Hong Kong in the afternoon of September 18. During his absence, the Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang, will be the Acting Chief Executive.
