The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting Minister for Enterprise and Innovation of Sweden, Mr Mikael Damberg, at the Chief Executive's Office this morning (September 11) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.
Mr Leung noted the increasing ties between Hong Kong and Sweden in various aspects. He added that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government is committed to promoting developments in innovation and technology, and said he looks forward to closer co-operation between Hong Kong and Sweden in this area. He also encouraged technology enterprises from Sweden to set up business in Hong Kong to take advantage of Hong Kong's role as a "super-connector" to access the research and development market in the Mainland of China.
