"Vanitas Libellum" to combine visual effects, body movement and live music
************************************************************

"Vanitas Libellum" by La Quinta del Lobo from Colombia, one of the attractions of the Boundless Multimedia Series presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, will be staged in October.

This is a multimedia performance that explores the concept of time and the form in which we perceive it. It consists of three acts: "Hourglasses", "City in motion" and "Change of state". Through visual effects and primitive body movements, it reflects the different visions, dreams and nightmares that humankind experiences in the passing of time. The performance combines elements of interactive technologies, real-time motion tracking, giant projection and more. To enhance the impact, musicians will perform original music on guitar, piano and electronic instruments live.

La Quinta del Lobo is an interdisciplinary performing arts group from Colombia formed by artists experienced in electronic arts, music and dance. Established in 2010, the group received the Biennial Award for Contemporary Arts by the Gilberto Alzate Avendano Foundation of Bogota in 2013 and the first prize of the "Dance in the City Bogota Festival" in 2012. The group premiered "Vanitas Libellum" in 2012 and it has been staged at various arts festivals in Colombia as well as at the "Experimental Arranges" Art Festival in Brazil and the Contemporary Fusions Festival in Peru.

The programme will be staged at 8pm on October 23 and 24 (Friday and Saturday) as well as at 3pm on October 25 (Sunday) at the Theatre of Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre. Ticket prices are $220 and $280. Tickets are now available at URBTIX.
