Police are investigating a murder case in Yau Ma Tei in the small hours of today (August 26) in which a 45-year-old woman died.
About 3.50am, Police received a report that a woman was found injured in a flat at 76 Reclamation Street.
Police officers sped to the scene and located a 45-year-old woman lying unconsciously on the floor. Sustaining cut wounds to her neck and chest, the woman was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 4.18am.
Police later arrested a 20-year-old man in Kwun Tong for murder. He is being detained for further enquiries.
A knife in suspected connection with the case was seized in the vicinity of the murder scene.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted on the deceased to ascertain the causes of death.
Active investigations by the District Crime Squad of Yau Tsim District are underway.
