The Leisure and Cultural Services Department said today (August 25) that the leisure pool and the training pool of Island East Swimming Pool in Eastern District have been temporarily closed for cleaning and superchlorination following the discovery of a small amount of faeces and vomitus in the respective pools.
The leisure pool and the training pool will be reopened at 7.10pm and 7.25pm respectively today.
The department appeals to swimmers to be considerate and to keep our swimming pools clean. They are advised not to swim after a full meal and should use the toilet facilities if necessary before swimming.
