Police today (August 19) reclassified a fighting in public place case in Kowloon City yesterday (August 18) as manslaughter.
About 3.30am that day, Police received a report that two men, aged 41 and 43, disputed and fought with each other in a bar on Waterloo Road.
After initial investigations, both men were arrested for fighting in public place.
They were sent to Kwong Wah Hospital for medical treatment. The 43-year-old man was in unconscious state and was later certified dead this afternoon.
Police today reclassified the case as manslaughter. The 41-year-old man was holding charged with one count of manslaughter.
The case will be mentioned at Kowloon City Magistrates’ Courts tomorrow (August 20).
Active investigations by the District Crime Squad of Kowloon City District are under way.
