Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Sheung Shui this afternoon (August 11) in which a 62-year-old man died.
At about 3.40pm, a light goods vehicle driven by the man was travelling along Sha Tau Kok Road – Lung Yeuk Tau towards Sha Tau Kok. When approaching Wo Mun Street, it reportedly lost control, rammed into the central divider and side-turned.
After the impact, the male driver was in unconscious state and was rushed to the North District Hospital where he was certified dead at 4.23pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are underway.
