The Town Planning Board today (August 7) announced amendments to the approved Tsing Yi Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).
The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of a site between Tsing Yi Road and Tsing Hung Road for public housing development. Opportunity is also taken to amend the Notes to include "Art Studio (excluding those involving direct provision of services or goods)" as a Column 1 use under Schedule II of the "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Business" zone and corresponding amendment to the "Place of Recreation, Sports or Culture" use of the said zone. The Explanatory Statement is also updated to reflect the above amendments and the general information on various land use zones where appropriate.
The draft Tsing Yi OZP No. S/TY/27 incorporating the amendments is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin, the Tsuen Wan and West Kowloon District Planning Office, and the Kwai Tsing District Office.
Any person may make written representations in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Town Planning Board on or before October 7. Representations made to the Town Planning Board will be available for public inspection.
Copies of the draft Tsing Yi OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed at the Town Planning Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
