Update on Southern Hemisphere Seasonal Influenza Vaccination at General Out-patient Clinics
************************************************************

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

The Hospital Authority (HA) spokesman today (July 20) announced that under the Government 2015 Southern Hemisphere Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Programme, General Out-patient Clinics (GOPCs) of the HA have already arranged free vaccination for about 48,700 eligible community elderly people aged 75 or above since the commencement of the programme on May 20. The HA expects that the vaccines concerned will be depleted shortly and appeals to eligible elderly persons aged 75 or above to receive the vaccination as soon as possible.

The spokesperson said that the HA has made arrangements for individual GOPCs to display posters in prominent places to inform the public when the stock of vaccine in that particular clinic has been depleted. At the same time, a daily announcement (Monday to Friday, at about 6pm) will be made to inform the public of the list of GOPCs (see appended table) still providing the vaccination service, until all stocks in the 73 clinics are depleted.
