Music Delight Series to offer relaxing choices for enjoying music
************************************************************

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department has introduced the Music Delight Series to offer options for enjoying music in a relaxing atmosphere. The series aims to show musical ways to bring delight to your life, and features music programmes that are far from ordinary.

The performance by the group MozART presents a blend of originality, comedy and classical music. The musicians of the group have revamped classics, applying new colour by adding touches of humour and fun to the most glorious themes in classical music. The clowning displays a virtuosic understanding of music, and the show provides listeners with sophisticated, perfectly arranged and sublime fun. The concert will be staged at 8pm on September 11 (Friday) at the Auditorium of Tsuen Wan Town Hall. Ticket prices range from $120 to $280.

The award-winning ensemble Chanticleer from the US will perform the programme "Over the Moon". The ensemble is known around the world as "an orchestra of voices" for the seamless blend of its 12 male voices ranging from countertenor to bass and its original interpretations of vocal literature, from Renaissance to jazz, and from gospel to venturesome new music. Chanticleer performs nationally and internationally and performs more than 100 concerts annually. Since Chanticleer began releasing recordings in 1981, the group has sold well over a million albums and won two Grammy awards. The concert will be staged at 8pm on October 2 (Friday) at the Auditorium of Tsuen Wan Town Hall. Ticket prices range from $150 to $300.

The brainchild of internationally acclaimed German pianists Andreas Kern and Paul Cibis, "Piano Battle" sees the duo go head to head onstage, charming and enchanting the audience with a variety of classical pieces. The show is divided into six rounds, each featuring a certain musical style. The two artists, with distinctly different performance techniques, will even go so far as to improvise on the tunes audience members request. In each round, all members of the audience are invited to vote on the pianists' performances. The show will be staged at 8pm on November 13 and 14 (Friday and Saturday) at the Auditoriums of Sha Tin Town Hall and Tuen Mun Town Hall respectively. Ticket prices range from $120 to $200.

Tickets are now available at URBTIX. Half-price tickets are available for senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and their minders, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients (limited tickets for CSSA recipients are available on a first-come, first-served basis).
