The Information Services Department (ISD) will take part in this year's Hong Kong Book Fair to be held from tomorrow (July 15) to July 21 under the theme of "Read As You Go".
More than 100 government titles, CDs, VCDs and DVDs will be on sale at the fair, with 49 being sold at a 25 per cent discount including the newly published yearbook "Hong Kong 2014" and "A Photographic Guide to Aquatic Plants of Hong Kong".
A number of specially priced books will also be on sale this year including a "Chinese Recipes" series, "Tide Tables for Hong Kong 2015", "Hong Kong Observatory Almanac 2015" and "50 Years of Dedicated Information Services", with discounts ranging from 50 to 85 per cent.
Customers buying publications at the ISD booth will receive a souvenir bookmark and may pay for items in cash or with an Octopus card.
To help save the environment, plastic bags will not be handed out at the booth. Purchasers are asked to bring their own carry bag.
The ISD booth will be located at stall C38 in Hall 1A of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai.
