The following is issued on behalf of the Legislative Council Secretariat:
As the Hong Kong Observatory has announced that the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 is expected to be issued soon, the President of the Legislative Council (LegCo) decided that today's (July 9) LegCo meeting held in the Chamber of the LegCo Complex is suspended. The arrangements for resuming the meeting will be as follows:
(a) if the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is cancelled at or before 7am tomorrow (July 10), the meeting will resume at 9am;
(b) if the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is cancelled after 7am and before 9am tomorrow, the meeting will resume at 11am; and
(c) if the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above remains in force at 9am tomorrow, the meeting will resume at 9am next Monday (July 13).
