Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tsing Yi this morning (July 8) in which a 58-year-old man died.
About 6.40am, a private car driven by a 35-year-old man was travelling along Lantau Link towards Kowloon. When approaching near North West Tsing Yi Interchange, it reportedly lost control and rammed into the railings.
A 58-year-old male passenger sustained serious head injuries and was certified dead at scene.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South, are underway.
