Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po this afternoon (July 7) in which a 75-year-old man died.
At about 2.47pm, a public light bus (PLB) driven by a 68-year-old man was travelling along the northeast bound of Pei Ho Street. When turning left to Yu Chau Street, the PLB reportedly knocked down the 75-year-old man who was crossing the road.
The man sustained multiple injuries and was rushed to Caritas Medical Centre in unconscious state where he was certified dead at 3.26pm.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
