Update on Southern Hemisphere Seasonal Influenza Vaccination at general outpatient clinics
************************************************************

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

The Hospital Authority (HA) spokesman today (July 7) announced that under the Government 2015 Southern Hemisphere Seasonal Influenza Vaccination (SH SIV) Programme, general outpatient clinics (GOPCs) of the HA have already arranged free vaccination for more than 42,000 eligible community-living elderly persons aged 75 or above since the commencement of the programme on May 20. The HA expects that the vaccines concerned will be depleted shortly and appeals to eligible elderly persons aged 75 or above to receive the vaccination as soon as possible.

The HA spokesperson said that the HA has made arrangements for individual GOPCs to display posters in prominent places to inform the public when the stock of vaccine in that particular clinic is depleted. At the same time, daily announcements (Monday to Friday, about 6pm) will be made to inform the public of the list of GOPCs (see appended table) still providing vaccination services until all stocks are depleted.
