LD holds occupational health public talks

     The Labour Department (LD) will hold a public talk entitled "Prevention of Upper Limb Disorders" on July 13. To remind employees of the importance of appropriate working habits, the talk will describe the structure and function of the upper limb and discuss the main causes and preventive measures of upper limb disorders.

     The talk will be held at 6.30pm in Activity Room 1, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The LD's Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.

     The LD will hold another talk entitled "Occupational Safety and Health for Confined Space Workers" on July 20. The talk will discuss occupational safety and health hazards and preventive measures of working in confined spaces to enhance workers' awareness of the issues.

     The talk will be held at 3pm in the Lecture Hall, Hong Kong Science Museum, 2 Science Museum Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon. The LD's Occupational Hygienist, Occupational Safety Officer and Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.

     The above talks will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free.
