Following is the transcript of remarks by the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, at a media session today (June 26) after officiating at the opening ceremony of Lai Yuen Super Summer 2015:
Reporter: What are you calling on the lawmakers to do now in the following funding applications in the Finance Committee? And also, are you worried about some political groups that are still unwilling to meet?
Chief Executive: I think the whole of Hong Kong expect members of the Legislative Council to give up filibustering and members of the Legislative Council to give up condoning filibustering because filibustering has been wasting a great deal of time and energy of not just the Legislative Council, not just Government, but also the community at large. We do have a long queue of issues before, particularly, the Finance Committee of the Legislative Council, so I do call on them to give up either filibustering itself or condoning filibustering.
