The Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang, visited Foshan today (June 26) to better understand its latest developments and meet senior officials there.
Soon after his arrival in the morning, Mr Tsang attended a meeting with representatives of Hong Kong banks in Guangdong Province in Foshan on the challenges and opportunities of setting up cross-location sub-branches.
This was followed by a meeting and lunch with the Secretary of the CPC Foshan Municipal Committee, Mr Liu Yuelun, to foster closer ties with the People's Government of Foshan Municipality.
Mr Tsang visited two robot system companies in Foshan in the afternoon to learn more about the city's innovation and technology development.
Having completed the visit, Mr Tsang returned to Hong Kong in the afternoon.
