Update on suspected MERS case

The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health today (June 26) reported the outstanding test result of a suspected case of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS).
The case that was pending a test result yesterday (June 25) tested negative for MERS Coronavirus upon preliminary testing by the CHP's Public Health Laboratory Services Branch.
"Regarding the latest number of suspected cases notified in the past 24 hours and their preliminary test results, we will update the public in due course," a spokesman for the CHP said.
