There will be large-scale public events on Legislative Council Road, Tim Mei Avenue and Harcourt Road tomorrow (June 14) and on the following few days. Police have found some potentially dangerous items inside the illegally erected tents and are concerned that those items may place public safety at risk.
Police have attempted to locate the owners and made appeals to the persons concerned to remove those items. As at today (June 13) afternoon, these potentially dangerous items are yet to be cleared. Therefore, Police have removed those unclaimed items to Central Police Station for safekeeping so as to reduce the risks on public safety. The seized articles include some wooden planks, metal bars, crushed rocks, knives and other miscellaneous items.
Police advise members of the public not to bring any dangerous items to the above location.
