Police last night (June 11) laid a holding charge against a 30-year-old non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) man with one count of murder.
Police arrested the 30-year-old man and another 22-year-old NEC man on June 10. The 30-year-old man was in suspected connection with a homicide case in Mong Kok on June 8 in which a 37-year-old NEC woman died. The 22-year-old man was suspected to have assisted the 30-year-old man in escaping from arrest.
The 30-year-old man will appear before Kowloon City Magistrates’ Courts today (June 12). The 22-year-old man has been released on bail pending further enquiries and is required to report back to Police in early July.
Active investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West are underway.
