SCED starts duty visit programme in Toronto (with photos)

     The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, started his duty visit programme in Toronto, Canada on June 7 (Toronto time) to promote closer economic and trade links between the two places.

     Mr So attended a national board meeting of the Hong Kong-Canada Business Association, the largest bilateral business association in Canada promoting business relations with Hong Kong. He took the opportunity to exchange views with its board members on issues relating to economic and trade relations between the two places.

     In the afternoon, Mr So met with Chinese business associations of Hong Kong origin in Toronto to listen to their views on operating businesses and working in Toronto.

     Mr So will join the visit programme of the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, in Toronto starting June 8, which includes attending the opening session of the "Think Asia, Think Hong Kong" Symposium organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). He will also speak at a luncheon jointly organised by the HKTDC and the Hong Kong Tourism Board on the same day.
