*********************************************************

The new phase of the Arts Fun Fair at Kowloon Park of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will commence this Sunday (June 7). Members of the public are welcome to attend the fun fair, which will feature 30 handicrafts and arts services stalls and be held at the Loggia of the park. The fair will be open every Sunday and public holiday from 1pm to 7pm until May 29 next year.

In addition to displaying and selling various kinds of handicrafts and artistic works such as pottery, leather items, puppets, paper craftwork, cloth artworks, clay works, ornaments and handcrafted soap, stall holders will also provide cultural and arts services such as painting, calligraphy, and hand and face painting.

"This is the 17th phase of the Arts Fun Fair at Kowloon Park and the event has been well received by the general public. Besides the fair, other specialised facilities in the park such as the Sculpture Walk, the Sculpture Garden and the Maze Garden also appeal to visitors. This is a marvellous weekend event that should not be missed," a spokesman for the LCSD said.

Apart from holding the Kowloon Park event, the LCSD is also setting up fun fairs at Hong Kong Park and Victoria Park.

The 15th phase of the Arts Corner at Hong Kong Park will be staged in the outdoor area near the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware from noon to 6pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from now until December 31 this year. As for the 16th phase of the Arts Corner at the South Pavilion Plaza of Victoria Park, it will be open from 10am to 6pm on Sundays and public holidays until March 27 next year, but will be suspended when there are major events in the park.
