CE meets Governor of Hunan Province (with photo)
************************************************

The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting Governor of Hunan Province, Mr Du Jiahao, at Government House this evening (June 2) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.

Mr Leung welcomed the visit by Mr Du to attend the Hunan (Hong Kong) Investment and Trade Promotion Week and wished the event every success. He pointed out that Hong Kong has a large pool of talents and rich management experience in various high-end service sectors and can act as a "super-connector" for Hunan's development, especially in areas of financial and professional services, trade, maritime and tourism, to complement the implementation of its "attracting investment" and "going global" strategies.

Mr Leung said that Hong Kong and Hunan enjoy close economic ties under the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement and expressed the hope that the two places would continue to make use of the Pan-Pearl River Delta platform to strengthen exchanges and co-operation and bring about mutual benefits.
