Fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun this morning (June 1) in which a 31-year-old man died.

     About 8.57am, the 31-year-old man was riding a bicycle downslope along Kin Fat Street towards Pui To Road. When reaching the junction with Ho Tin Street, the bicycle reportedly collided with a medium goods vehicle (MGV) that was driven by a 33-year-old man and turning from Ho Tin Street into upslope-bound Kin Fat Street.

     Sustaining serious injuries, the 31-year-old man was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital in unconscious state, and was certified dead at 10.17am.    

     The MGV driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for further enquiries.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are underway.
