Reopening of Kwun Tong Recreation Ground after reconstruction (with photos)

     Kwun Tong Recreation Ground, located in Kwun Tong town centre, will be reopened on June 11 after reconstruction, providing another quality sports and recreational venue for people in the community.

     Situated at 6 Tsui Ping Road in the vicinity of Tsui Ping Estate, Kwun Tong Recreation Ground is easily accessible by public transport. Members of the public can get there by taking various bus and minibus routes or by walking from Kwun Tong MTR Station.

     Occupying a total floor area of about 1.9 hectares, Kwun Tong Recreation Ground has a seven-a-side artificial turf soccer pitch, two seven-a-side hard surface soccer pitches, three basketball-cum-volleyball courts, one roller skating rink, two children's play areas, a jogging track and an elderly fitness area. The facilities are suitable for all ages to enjoy leisure and exercise activities.

     Members of the public can make bookings for the seven-a-side artificial soccer pitch via the Leisure Link Computerised Booking System (Internet booking, counter advance booking, telephone reservation and self-service kiosks) from tomorrow (June 2), according to the LCSD's booking procedures for leisure and recreational facilities.
