Fatal traffic accident in Stanley

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Stanley today (May 30) in which a 49-year-old man died.
 
     At about 10.30am, the 49-year-old man was riding a bicycle along southbound Tai Tam Road. When approaching Pak Pat Shan Road, the bicycle reportedly lost control and the man fell onto the ground.
 
     The cyclist was rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 11.26am.
 
     Investigations will be conducted by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island.
 
     Anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers on 3106 8800.
