Fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan last night (May 25) in which a 64-year-old man was killed.
  
     At about 11.33pm last night, a taxi driven by the 64-year-old man was travelling along southbound Tai Po Road, while a private car driven by a 27-year-old man was travelling along northbound Tai Po Road. When approaching near Caldecott Road, the two vehicles reportedly collided.

     Sustaining serious injuries to his head, the 64-year-old man was sent to Princess Margaret Hospital in unconscious state where he was certified dead at 1.20am today (May 26).

     The 27-year-old private car driver, a 33-year-old female and a 6-year-old male private car passenger also sustained injuries and were sent to Caritas Medical Centre in conscious state.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West, are underway.
