Two additional shows of theatre production "Too Many Penguins?" (with photos)
*****************************************************

The theatre production "Too Many Penguins?" (with limited English dialogue), one of the stage programmes in the International Arts Carnival (IAC), will have two additional performances in response to overwhelming public demand. Details are as follows:

Date: July 16 and 17 (Thursday and Friday)
Time: 11am
Venue: Kwai Tsing Theatre Black Box Theatre
Price: $220

A host of fluffy penguins travel by boat, car and balloon to play with Miss Penguina at Christmas and turn her neighbour Mr Polaro's quiet world upside down. Set in a land of ice and snow, this entrancingly offbeat story of friendship and tolerance from Edinburgh-based Frozen Charlotte is buoyed by bouncy music and beguiling design.

The show is best for ages 1 to 4 and children must be accompanied by adults. Tickets for the additional performances will be available at URBTIX from tomorrow (May 22) onwards. Half-price tickets are available for full-time students, senior citizens, people with disabilities and their minders, and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients. Booking discounts of up to 20 per cent are available for IAC full-price performing arts/film programmes.

The IAC, organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, will run from July 10 to August 16 and feature a variety of events for family entertainment. Programme brochures are available at URBTIX outlets or at the carnival website www.hkiac.gov.hk. For programme enquiries, please call 2370 1044.

Internet bookings can be made at www.urbtix.hk. Telephone credit card bookings can be made on 2111 5999.
