Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) announced today (May 21) that its Hong Kong office has opened as part of its ongoing commitment to the region.
CA ANZ has more than 100 000 members around the world with 1 000 chartered accountants living and working in Hong Kong and over 200 in Mainland China.
The CEO of CA ANZ, Mr Lee White, said, "Having a presence on the ground in Asia is crucial to delivering our growth strategy in the region. We've always had a presence in Asia with our members actively leading business and finance across many markets. By setting up a presence in Hong Kong we are better able to support our members and contribute more substantially to the business and finance community.
"Hong Kong is one of the most important financial and commercial hubs in the world. Located in the heart of Asia and close to Mainland China, we are now able to leverage our presence and contribute more to the market."
Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion Mr Jimmy Chiang welcomed the opening of CA ANZ's office in Hong Kong and said, "Hong Kong is an international business centre with many chambers and international professional groups already operating. It is the ideal location from which organisations like CA ANZ can service members across the region."
To mark the opening of its Hong Kong office, CA ANZ will hold the Asia launch its thought leadership platform future[inc], which examines the key business issues affecting corporates and nations and the impact megatrends will have on future prosperity. For the inaugural debate in Hong Kong, digital currency experts will discuss the impact digital currencies will have on how the world trades and CA ANZ will launch its paper "Digital Currency, Where To From Here?".
