***********************************************

The Town Planning Board (the Board) today (May 15) announced amendments to the approved Ma Tau Kok Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).

The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of a site at the junction of Sung Wong Toi Road and To Kwa Wan Road from "Comprehensive Development Area(3)" ("CDA(3)") to "Residential (Group A)" ("R(A)") for public housing development; a site at the junction of Mok Cheong Street and To Kwa Wan Road from "CDA(3)" to "Government, Institution or Community" ("G/IC") for in-situ redevelopment of the Hong Kong Society for the Blind premises; and a site at the junction of Ma Tau Wai Road and Ma Hang Chung Road from "G/IC" to "R(A)" to reflect the as-built condition of a completed residential development. In addition, the railway scheme for the Shatin to Central Link authorised by the Chief Executive in Council under the Railways Ordinance (Chapter 519) on March 27, 2012 is shown on the OZP for information. Opportunity is also taken to amend the Notes and Explanatory Statement of the OZP to reflect the above amendments and to update the general information of various land use zonings.

The draft Ma Tau Kok OZP No. S/K10/21, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin, the Kowloon District Planning Office and the Kowloon City District Office.

Any person can make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Board on or before July 15, 2015. Representations made to the Board will be available for public inspection.
