Special traffic arrangements for Tin Hau Festival

     Police will implement special traffic arrangements in Joss House Bay, Kwun Tong, Tuen Mun, Yuen Long and Tsing Yi to facilitate the celebration of Tin Hau Festival.
 
Joss House Bay
--------------
 
     The following traffic arrangements will be implemented from 8am to 6pm tomorrow (May 9), from 7am on May 10 to 1am the following day, and from 8am to 3pm on May 11:
 
- Tai Au Mun Road between Clear Water Bay Second Beach Car Park and Po Toi O Chuen Road will be closed, except for access to Po Toi O Chuen, Tin Hau Temple and No.139 Tai Au Mun Road; and
- 49 parking spaces of Clear Water Bay Second Beach Car Park, 10 parking spaces along No.139 Tai Au Mun Road and four parking spaces on Tai Au Mun Road near Po Toi O Chuen Road will be suspended.
 
Kwun Tong
---------
 
     The following traffic arrangements will be implemented from 9am to 5pm on May 11:
 
- Eastbound Cha Kwo Ling Road between Wing Fook Street and Yau Tong Road will be closed;
- Westbound Cha Kwo Ling Road between Wing Fook Street and Yau Tong Road will be converted to eastbound;
- Vehicles along westbound Cha Kwo Ling Road heading for Laguna City or Wai Yip Street will be diverted to Yau Tong Road; and
- Unnamed road next to Tin Hau Temple will be converted to one-lane-two-way traffic.
 
Tuen Mun
--------
 
     The following traffic arrangements will be implemented in Tuen Mun on May 11:
 
A. Road closure
 
     The following roads will be intermittently closed:
 
From 8am to 6pm
- Tin Hau Road between Pui To Road and Yip Wong Road;
- Hung Cheung Road between its southern junction with San Ping Circuit and Tin Hau Road;
- Southbound Hung Cheung Road between its northern and southern junctions with San Ping Circuit;
- San On Street between its southern junction with Hung Cheung Road and a point about 30 metres north of the same junction;
- Hing Wong Street between its junction with Hung Cheung Road and a point about 30 metres north of the same junction; and
- San Hop Lane.
 
From 9am to noon
- Northbound San Wo Lane;
- San Wo Lane from its junction with San Tak Street to a point about 145 metres north of the same junction;
- Westbound Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road between San Hui Path and San Wo Lane; and
- Northbound Castle Peak Road ¡V San Hui from its southern junction with Tseng Choi Street to its junction with Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road.
 
From 10am to 2pm
- Southbound Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road between San Wo Lane and Tsing Yin Street;
- Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road between Ho Pong Street and Tsing Yin Street;
- Southbound Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road between its northern junction with Ho Pong Street and Pui To Road;
- Tsing Yin Street;
- San Tsing Street;
- Ho Pong Street between San Tsing Street and Tsing Yin Street;
- Luk Yuen Street;
- Yan Ching Street between Kai Man Path and Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road; and
- Westbound Pui To Road between Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road and Tin Hau Road.
 
From 2pm to 6pm
- Eastbound Pui To Road between Tin Hau Road and Castle Peak Road - San Hui;
- Northbound Ho Pong Street between Tsing Yin Street and Pui To Road;
- Tsing Yin Street between Ho Pong Street and San Tsing Street;
- San Tsing Street;
- Northbound Castle Peak Road - San Hui between Tseng Choi Street and Pui To Road; and
- Northbound Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road between Tsing Yin Street and San Hui Path.
 
     In addition, the cycle track along the western riverside of Tuen Mun River Channel between Pui To Road and Yau Oi Bridge will be closed from 8am to 6pm.
 
B. Traffic diversions
 
     Hung Cheung Road between its northern and southern junction with San Ping Circuit will be converted to one-way northbound from 8am to 6pm.
 
C. Suspension of parking spaces
 
     All parking spaces on San Wo Lane and the unnamed access road nearby will be suspended from 8am to 1pm. All parking spaces on Tsing Yin Street will be suspended from 8am to 2pm.
 
Yuen Long
---------
 
     The following traffic arrangements will be implemented on May 11:
 
A. Road closure
 
From 8am
- Fung Cheung Road between Kin Lok Street and Fung Kam Street;
- Yau San Street between Kin Lok Street and Hop Yick Road;
- Westbound Kin Lok Street;
- Kin Yip Street;
- Hop Yick Road; and
- Kin Tak Street.
 
From 9am
- Tai Tong Road between Fau Tsoi Street and Ma Tong Road;
- Kau Yuk Road;
- Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road between Ma Tin Road and Castle Peak Road - Yuen Long;
- Ma Tin Road between Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road and Ma Tong Road; and
- Fung Nin Road between Fung Lok Lane and Kau Yuk Road.
 
From 10am
- Ma Tong Road between Sai Yu Street and Ma Tin Road; and
- Tai Shu Ha Road East between Ma Tong Road and Tai Shu Ha Tin Hau Temple.
 
     The following roads will be intermittently closed:
 
From 7.45am
- Po Yip Street between Hong Yip Street and Yuen Long On Lok Road;
- Yuen Long On Lok Road between Po Yip Street and Wang Chau Road;
- Wang Chau Road;
- Yuen Long On Ning Road between Wang Chau Road and Ma Miu Road; and
- Ma Miu Road.
 
B. Traffic diversions
 
- Tai Shu Ha Road East between Ma Tong Road and Tai Shu Ha Tin Hau Temple will be converted to one-way southbound between 6pm on May 10 and 5pm the following day; and
- Kin Yip Street will be converted to one-way northbound from 8am on May 11.
 
C. Suspension of parking spaces
 
From 4pm on May 10
- Goods vehicles parking spaces inside the car park off Fung Yau Street North.
 
From 8am on May 11
- The car park off Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road outside Yuen Long Stadium;
- Ma Tin Road;
- Wang Fat Path;
- Kin Tak Street;
- Yan Lok Square; and
- Hung Min Court.
 
Tsing Yi
--------
 
     The following traffic arrangements will be implemented between 8am and 4pm on May 20:
 
A. Road closure
 
- Tsing Luk Street between the car park exit of Tsing Yi Garden and the taxi stand near Tsing Yi Estate Bus Terminus; and
- Southbound slow lane of Fung Shue Wo Road opposite to Tsing Yi Rural Committee.
 
B. Traffic diversions
 
- Traffic along southbound Fung Shue Wo Road heading for northbound Tsing King Road via Tsing Yip Street and Tsing Luk Street will be diverted to Fung Shue Wo Road roundabout and northbound Tsing King Road; and
- Traffic along northbound Tsing Yi Heung Sze Wui Road heading for Tsing Yip Street via Tsing Luk Street will be diverted to northbound Fung Shue Wo Road and eastbound Tsing Yip Street.
 
     Any vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements will be towed away without prior notice.
 
     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the areas. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
