Our 18 Districts - "Fun Fest in the Park: A Celebration of Love and Integration" to be held this Sunday
***********************************************************

The "Fun Fest in the Park: A Celebration of Love and Integration" will be held this Sunday (May 10) at the soccer pitch of Lai Chi Kok Park Phase I. Members of the public are most welcome to join the event free of charge.

Through a series of programmes, the Fun Fest aims to disseminate the message of love and integration in the community, encourage participants to show more care to their families and those in need, and show appreciation for different members of our society, thus enhancing social cohesion.

Participants will enjoy a series of delightful programmes at the event, which will run from noon to 5pm, including some 20 youth and ethnic minority performing groups from various districts in Kowloon showcasing their talents with performances of singing, dancing, musical instruments and traditional arts on "My Stage".

The launch ceremony and a celebrity variety show will start at 3pm. Artistes including Frederick Cheng, Jinny Ng, Shiga Lin and Hubert Wu, as well as magician Louis Yan, will help convey to the audience the important messages of love and inclusion through marvellous performances, thereby boosting positive energy in the community.

To enable young people to express their artistic talents, eight "Youth Arts Handicrafts" stalls will be set up and participants can design their own handicraft items such as accessories, leather goods, sand bottles and pinwheels. In addition, participants of all ages are catered for with 12 game booths in the "Fun Paradise" zone, where families and their children can relax and enjoy a variety of fun games and activities including a zorb ball, a bouncy maze, radio-controlled boats, instant photos, bouncy wrestling and more - truly a great way to celebrate Mother's Day.

Participants of "Youth Arts Handicrafts" stalls and "Fun Paradise" will get the chance to redeem a trendy gift while mothers attending the event will receive a towel flower to celebrate Mother's Day. All gifts are available while stocks last.

"Fun Fest in the Park: A Celebration of Love and Integration" is one of the large-scale activities lined up by the Home Affairs Department under the theme of "Our 18 Districts".
