Following is the transcript of remarks made by the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, after attending a media interview today (May 7):
Reporter: How can you do a better job if you meet citizens who strongly oppose the political reform proposal in future? Why can't you convince Leung Ka-lau to accept the proposal?
Secretary for Food and Health: As I have said, I met with the Hon Leung Ka-lau yesterday. What I can only say is that, up to this moment, I still cannot secure his support. As to your first question, I should and would learn from every experience that I have gained so far, and seek improvement in my way of communication with the citizens. If you ask me whether I would still seek dialogue even with citizens who might be expressing rather radical views on the proposal, I will still persevere with it.
