Youth Exchange Session discusses matters pertaining to young people (with photos)

The following is issued on behalf of the Commission on Youth:

     The Commission on Youth (CoY) organised a Youth Exchange Session at the Youth Square today (April 28). The Chairman of the Commission on Youth, Mr Lau Ming-wai, attended the session and exchanged views with young people on matters of concern to them.

     Mr Lau said that nowadays, young people are facing challenges from various angles including education, careers and housing. He added that the CoY will continue to deliver its best efforts on youth matters, help youths achieve their goals and multi-faceted excellence, and listen to their views through various channels, so as to assist in implementing youth development programmes and activities.

     In his concluding remarks, Mr Lau said he was glad to see the active participation of young people in the exchange session, and the valuable views they expressed would serve as useful reference for the CoY. He said he believed that with their enthusiasm the young people could certainly contribute to the further development of society.

     He added that the CoY will continue to organise exchange sessions and invite government officials, representatives from advisory bodies and stakeholders to attend, so that youths will have more opportunities to exchange views with them on topics of concern.
