Government proposes installation of lifts at Aberdeen footbridge

     The Government has proposed to install two lifts at the footbridge (No. HF104) across Aberdeen Praya Road near Nam Ning Street and the Aberdeen Promenade. The works are part of the Universal Accessibility Programme.

     Details of the proposal, as set out in the Annex, have been gazetted today (April 17). The plan and the scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

Central and Western District Office,
Public Enquiry Service Centre,
G/F, Harbour Building,
38 Pier Road,
Central, Hong Kong

Southern District Office,
Public Enquiry Service Centre,
G/F, Ocean Court,
3 Aberdeen Praya Road,
Aberdeen, Hong Kong

District Lands Office,
Hong Kong West and South,
20/F, Southorn Centre,
130 Hennessy Road,
Wan Chai, Hong Kong

     The gazette notice and location plan will be available at www.thb.gov.hk/eng/psp/publications/transport/gazette/gazette.htm .

     Any person who wishes to object to the works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 22/F, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Hong Kong, on or before June 16, 2015.
