Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun today (April 14) in which a 26-year-old man died.
At about 12.25pm, a Light Rail train driven by a 23-year-old man was travelling along Castle Peak Road towards Yuen Long. When approaching near San Sau Street, the train reportedly knocked down the 26-year-old man who was crossing the rail.
The man was trapped under the train. He sustained multiple injuries and was rushed to the Tuen Mun Hospital in unconscious state where he was certified dead at 1.23pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories are underway.
