Murder and wounding in Wong Tai Sin

    Police are investigating a murder and wounding case in Wong Tai Sin today (April 13) in which a 26-year-old man died.

     About 3.20pm, Police received a report that a man and a woman fought with each other at the corridor of a floor at King Kung House of Choi Wan Estate.

    Police officers sped to scene and located a 26-year-old man lying unconsciously at the lift lobby of a floor of the building. Sustaining cut wounds to his chest, the man was rushed to United Christian Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 4.35pm.

    Police also located an unconscious woman, aged 48, inside a flat at the same floor. Sustaining cut wounds to her abdomen, she was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state for medical treatment.

    After initial investigations, it is believed that the duo had a dispute before the incident. A fruit knife and a chopper, in suspected connection with the case, were seized at scene.

    Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the causes of death of the man.

    Investigations by District Crime Squad of Wong Tai Sin are underway.
