Police are investigating a traffic accident in Wong Tai Sin on March 2 in which a 72-year-old man died.
About 4.52pm, a private car driven by a 45-year-old man was travelling along the southbound lane of Tseuk Luk Street. When turning right into a carpark, it reportedly knocked down the 72-year-old man who was walking on the pavement outside the carpark entrance.
Sustaining leg injuries, the pedestrian was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in conscious state. His condition deteriorated and was certified dead at 10.38am on March 28.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and has been released on bail.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East, are underway.
