Fatal traffic accident in Tsim Sha Tsui

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tsim Sha Tsui this morning (April 6) in which a 78-year-old man was killed.
  
     About 10.15am, a medium goods vehicle driven by a 39-year-old man was travelling along westbound Austin Road. When reaching the junction with Cox's Road, it reportedly hit the 78-year-old man who was standing near the kerb.
  
     Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 10.53am.
  
     The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for further enquiries.
  
     Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic Kowloon West are underway.
