Special traffic arrangements in Kowloon East

     Police will implement the following special traffic arrangements on Saturday (April 4) in Kowloon East to facilitate the holding of a running event.
 
Phase I (from 1pm to 9pm):
 
A. Road closure
 
- Westbound Hoi Bun Road between Tsun Yip Street and Lai Yip Street.
 
B. Traffic diversion
 
- Vehicles from westbound Hoi Bun Road heading to Kowloon Bay will be diverted to eastbound Tsun Yip Street and northbound Wai Yip Street; and
- Vehicles on southbound How Ming Street cannot turn right to westbound Hoi Bun Road.
 
C. Suspension of parking spaces
 
- Metered parking spaces on westbound Hoi Bun Road.
 
Phase II (from 4pm to 10pm):
 
A. Road closure
 
- The unnamed road leading to Kai Tak Runway Park.
 
B. Suspension of parking spaces
 
- Goods vehicle parking spaces on Cheung Yip Street;
- Goods vehicle parking spaces on Lam Chak Street; and
- Metered parking spaces and motorcycle parking spaces on Cheung Yip Street.
 
     In addition, the road section leading to Cheung Yip Street car park will be closed. All vehicles cannot enter or leave the car park.
 
Phase III (from 5.30pm to 9pm):
 
A. Road closure
 
- Westbound Hoi Bun Road between Lai Yip Street and Kai Hing Road;
- Northbound Lai Yip Street between Hoi Bun Road and Wai Yip Street; and
- Kai Hing Road to the south of Lam Chak Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic, except for vehicles heading to Kerry D.G. Warehouse (Kowloon Bay).
 
B. Traffic diversion
 
- Traffic along eastbound Hoi Bun Road cannot turn right to southbound Kai Hing Road and cannot turn left to eastbound Lai Yip Street;
- Vehicles from southbound Wang Chiu Road will be diverted to southbound Cheung Yip Street, eastbound Lam Chak Street and northbound Kai Hing Road;
- Vehicles along westbound Lai Yip Street heading to Kowloon Bay will be diverted to northbound Wai Yip Street;
- Lam Chak Street will be converted to one-way eastbound; and
- Kai Hing Road will be converted to one-way northbound.
 
     Any vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements will be towed away without prior notice.
 
     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Members of the public are urged to take heed of instructions of police at scene.
