Following is the transcript of remarks made by the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, at a media session on Asia Television Limited (ATV) at the Legislative Council Complex today (March 30):
Reporter: Mr So, why is it taking so long for ATV's license renewal consideration? Is it reasonable for that long period of time? Is the ExCo (Executive Council) going to announce soon or tomorrow?
Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development: You used a very good word: "reasonable". It is reasonable to follow process, due process, and procedural justice. And we are proceeding as quickly as we could. And I would assure you that once the decision is made by the Chief Executive in Council, it will be announced very quickly together with a fuller explanation as to the process and the decision.
