Police are investigating a traffic accident in Kwun Tong this morning (March 30) in which a 44-year-old woman was killed.
At about 9.40am, a Public Light Bus (PLB) driven by a 42-year-old man was travelling along westbound Kwun Tong Road. When reaching 380 Kwun Tong Road, a tyre reportedly came loose from the PLB and hit the 44-year-old woman on the pavement.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was rushed to the United Christian Hospital where she was certified dead at 10.18am.
The PLB driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He is now being detained pending further enquiries.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East, are underway.
